The traditional way to consult the I Ching (also Yi Jing 易经) is using fifty yarrow stalks. Yarrow’ common name is soldier’s woundwort, milfoil or nosebleed and refers to its anti- haemorrhaging properties. Its latin name - Achillea millefolium - associated with the mythical warrior Achielles who used this plant to stop his soldiers’ wounds bleed. It can also be used as colds, flu and fever remedy as it has anti-inflammatory properties.
